How quickly do I receive my images?
Portrait Galleries: 4 weeks
Wedding Galleries: You receive a preview within 48 hours and the full gallery within 6-10 weeks
Are all images edited?
All images are color corrected and cropped for professional printing. I do not offer airbrushing services. I prefer to document my clients as they are, whole and perfect.
But what if I have acne…. I will gently retouch any noticeable blemishes.
Do I have rights to the images?
Yes, my packages are all inclusive, you receive the very best of your session, selected and edited by me personally. Your images will be delivered at high resolution in a digital gallery that stays online for many years. You are authorized to print for personal use and share your favorites on social media. I am an over shooter, which also makes me an over deliverer. There will be no lack of beautiful images.
How long have you been a photographer?
Thanks to my many wonderful long term clients turned friends and their sharing of my business, I have been gainfully employed and inspired since 2009.
How do you describe your style?
My style is honest, vibrant and airy. I won’t force anything. I will be goofy and direct and allow your family to lead the way.
But what if we are awkward?
It’s normal to be nervous about a photo shoot, but please let me take that worry from you. I once heard that a family photo shoot is up there on the list of the most stressful things to do in life…. kinda like moving. Eek! I promise to make your session fun. I often hear from my families that they had way more fun at their session then they ever expected.
How should we prepare for our session?
Choose a wardrobe that you are first and foremost comfortable in. I want to photograph you as your best self. Don’t have any expectations. Especially with small children. They are going to do what they are going to do wether or not we like it. My job is to capture them in all their glory, and I will do just that. I have my own 4 year old son, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve. We will be goofy, we will tell jokes, we will sing songs, they may laugh, they may cry. Let’s just let them be little for a little while longer. I promise you won’t regret it. Also, bring snacks. I am so not above bribery.

Do you charge a travel fee for weddings or sessions outside of the Olympia Area?
There is a small mileage fee for locations further than 30 miles away from Olympia. Weddings further than an hour away will require hotel fees.
Ali Meliah is located in Tacoma, Washington and serves the surrounding South Sound Region. Ali will happily work for travel. 🙂
